At Dive Warriors we honor those brave men and women who have served their country and fought for our freedoms.  Our mission is to build confidence and self-esteem in veterans with disabilities through scuba diving.  Water and the feeling of weightless provides the perfect gravity-free environment for those veterans who might otherwise struggle on land – it helps build confidence and gives them a sense of accomplishment.   It helps them take on challenges that may once have seemed impossible to them.

In an article by Melissa Gaskill in SportDiver  Magazine Mark Heniser – a physical therapist at Center for the Intrepid, BAMC’s outpatient rehabilitation facility says, “At least 75 percent of our guys have never been diving before. It opens new horizons, introducing things they hadn’t done before they got hurt. That’s true of other adaptive sports, but diving also gives them a sense of freedom, weightlessness and no boundaries. And it’s something they can do the rest of their lives.”

Using dive professionals Dive Warriors provides a safe environment our wounded veterans to dive and experience the beauty and wonders of the underwater world.  Dive Warriors focuses on helping our brave service members regain their independence, make new friends and inspire a sense of self-worth.
