Helping Disabled Veterans Help Themselves

Testimonials

Home / Testimonials

I’ve just gotten involved with Dive Warriors and went on the first Veterans dive with a fabulous group of people! This is a great group of men and women who are Veterans and supporters of Vets who have huge hearts and love to dive. I want to personally thank Brad Mirman for making this last weekend’s dive such a memorable experience.

I had the privilege of joining the Dive Warriors on a recent dive trip and being able to witness what a great organization this is in representing our veterans. Their skills learned, the friendships made, and especially the confidence it brings to each of them puts veterans in such a great advantage for the better of themselves. It’s so rewarding to hear my husband say how much fun he had and is looking forward to the next event. Thank you Dive Warriors

I’m extremely excited to be a part of this new organization that is dedicated to helping vets, like myself, get back into diving! It was so awesome to hang out with my brothers and sisters once again. I have not seen most of them in a long while and Dive Warriors helped make that possible! Thanks DW and Brad for all your continued support for our returning vets.

What can I say about “Dive Warriors” (Veterans scuba diving) it’s something I was looking for after I graduated my scuba class, it’s prayer answered( and I am not a religious man, so that’s saying a lot)
I am so very Proud to be a part of Dive Warriors. Thank You Brad Mirman for seeing a need, and not just talking about it but fulfilling it!

I am thrilled to be apart of a wonderful organization (Dive Warriors). I am truly grateful for the chance to scuba dive again and make new friends. Thank you Brad for your service to the U.S. military veterans.

If the option for 10 stars was present, I would say it’s twice as nice, as the 5 star experience, of any given sport/activity/adventure.  Of all the different modalities of healing from major life traumas, this one was PRICELESS. It is remarkable and instills courage, to those strong enough to learn (relearn) a skill. And for those brave enough, to venture into the sea, the ocean is the ultimate healing sanctuary. Love as deep as the ocean, for this group.

Dive Warriors isn’t just about scuba diving. This organization fosters an environment that is based on building team cohesion within the veteran community. Dive Warriors is a group that offers a safe place for service members to be themselves. Dive Warriors is also synonymous to military culture. There is unity in the water and above it, everyone works as a single unit for safety (survival), and they strive to enhance perishable dive skills. I am honored to be a member of this group and I can’t begin to thank Brad Mirman enough for his service and compassion for our veterans thus offering a lifeline for so many that are seeking to find solace.

What can I say?! There are no words to fully explain how amazing the Dive Warriors group is. Through a series of events I ended up meeting a few members of this group at the RRR event (lacscuba). I was immediately welcomed with open arms, to include a bit of good ol’ military sibling rivalry. I later had the opportunity to see a few members of this fun-loving crew in action on the Westerly Dive Boat at Catalina. Again, there are no words to describe the immediate bond of camaraderie and friendship. Like being swept up in a tornado and whisked off to another world away from the daily and sometimes hourly struggles we face. This is beyond diving; this group represents life after service for so many. Rather than being the exception you are the rule. I left feeling like I’d been reunited with long lost brothers and sisters.
